Press Info:
For the second time this summer we hit Humboldthain Club to celebrate the second anniversary of Stützpunkt.

nthng
Very little is known about mysterious Amsterdam producer nthng, but those who have been enraptured by his hazy, emotive and driving productions have only touched the edge of a vast shrouded techno landscape. Inspired by the early days of techno and trance, before it became a dirty word, nthng’s sound blends a heady mix of murky, undulating, tectonic drum work alongside drifting, melodic synth lines that melt into the 6am sun. His latest releases have hit the scene hard and got amazing feedback from all corners. We are proud to have him with us this time.

Jeff Rushin
Amsterdam-based DJ, producer and promotor Jeff Rushin’s ongoing affair with electronic music began somewhere in the ‘90s. Whilst exploring the wide array of music on offer at that time, he stumbled upon techno and was sold ever since. By delving deeper and deeper into this newfound universe, techno quickly evolved from hobby to addiction and ended being a lifestyle. By experimenting with layers of sounds, loops and voices, Rushin injects a sense of depth, warmth and energy into both his productions and performances. We are looking forward to what he has in store for us.

ONNI
For his whole life Onni has been passionate about music. Growing up in the 90’s he loved listening to Hip-Hop; hearing drums, rhythms, basslines, and deep lyrics. In the following years he wanted to be a contributor instead of just being a consumer. He made a move to become a DJ by widening his musical perspective. He started spinning at various clubs in Istanbul, being a regular at Istanbul’s infamous Kloster which closed last year. After moving to Berlin earlier this year he quickly set foot and played at clubs like KaterBlau or Chalet. We are looking forward to his debut with us.

Chami
Always a major highlight at our parties, Chami has become quite the talk of the town. The strong and determined vinyl only sets of our Moroccan resident have become an illustration of the Stützpunkt series, purely creating an exceptional atmosphere. This summer he played in Barcelona for Sonar Off-Week alongside some of the scene’s biggest names. Even earlier this year he has played his first closing set for us – one of the most special memories in two years of Stützpunkt. We are proud to have him as one of our cornerstones.

Minijob
We are very excited to have the French trio Minijob with us again. The Oben floor is still shaking from their excessive 6 hour disco closing over a year ago. The guys who are based in Berlin have made quite a name of themselves, playing in many clubs around town and also throwing legendary open airs at different locations throughout the entire year. They will bring their broad selection of disco and house with them to once again play the Oben closing slot. Be prepared for another set of madness.

Background Radiation
We really couldn’t celebrate our anniversary without our most cherished duo Background Radiation. This once again highly anticipated DJ set will feature the golden pieces of their vinyl collection and you can be sure that they will present the right spirit at the right time. If you have been following us for a while you know that they will definitely not disappoint.

Kontrast
Kontrast is a young DJ from Berlin who has been a close friend of our series from the earliest days on. Finally it is time now for his debut at Humboldthain Club. His passion for techno has been developing for a very long time now as the Berlin native has been basically sitting at the source of all of it his entire life. We are very much looking forward to his set.

Felix Tosend
Felix Tosend is one half of Docmadeli who have played on our Oben floor twice in the past two years. This will be the first time that he will pay solo for us. He will do the Oben opening with a mix ranging from downbeat house all the way to cheesy vocal house. His sets are sure to bring joy and ecstasy to everyone present and we are happy that he will once again play some tunes for us.

We are excited to celebrate our second anniversary at our Wedding home base and are looking forward to seeing many familiar and unfamiliar faces. Bring it on!

Press Info:
After being away from Humboldthain for almost one year, we are going at it again UNTEN and OBEN – the latter this time hosted by our friends at Dogma. Feels good to be back.

Charles Fenckler
Charles Fenckler is a young French producer and the latest in new talent to join the Soma roster. Passionate about electronic music from a young age, he has matured into a full fledged producer composing an interesting style of Techno gliding between deep and melodic dub infused Techno, integrating many different influences. Being still young in age, he is one of the most promising talents right now and we are happy to have him here for his Berlin debut.

TWR72
TWR72 is an Amsterdam based techno duo sharing the same predilection of music since their early teens. Now, almost two decades later, they still share this bond and are seen as one of the most thriving duos in the scene. TWR72 pioneers their own forward- thinking approach towards electronic music: a fusing and pulsing rhythm with a cutting drive, binding it with a strong signature groove.

Saturator35dB
Saturator35dB has been part of our crew for over two and a half years now. He has played multiple b2b’s in the past and has demonstrated his skills in both Techno and House. Capable of playing vinyl only or sometimes with the help of a couple CDJs, you can always expect a nice selection between melodic and melancholic but also hard hitting and classic rave style techno.

Tymotica
Tymotica is part of the Munich based Ruffhouse crew who have dedicated themselves to upfront club music. He fits into that scheme as his style is somewhere in-between Techno, Ambient and UK Bass. He has recently had his first release on a compilation by Banlieu Records, showcasing his tremendous talent production-wise. He has played for us in February ’16 and we are happy to have him back with us.

Hansi
Hansi, the bavarian prince of Dogma – who is now based in Berlin – always brings his a-game. As the main event organizer of Dogma, he has an innate sense for all the moving parts that make a party come together as a success. His eclectic mix of quirky house with groovy minimal techno has a very distinctive and unique feel and is sure to keep you glued to the dancefloor.

Bergen
Bergen hails from Iceland but has chosen Berlin as his adopted home for the diversity and creativity it offers. As Dogma’s art director, he is responsible for the look and feel of the operation. He aims to bring the same creativity to his mixing, with his style ranging from deep organic grooves to dramatic house and luscious techno – often within the same set, and always with high energy.

Valé & Nicolaj Tann
The lovely couple Valé & Nicolaj Tann are good friends and have been firm supporters of the guys at Dogma since the beginning. Fresh off opening for Roi Perez in Nürnberg, the Berlin-based duo first cut their teeth with the techno collective Notwohnung from Cologne but will be bringing a selection of their favorite house music to dazzle you with this time.

Come join us for the first summer Stützpunkt this year as we will have an intense session on both floors.

Press Info:
For this edition of Stützpunkt we’ve got something special up our sleeves. We are more than happy to be the host of French label Skryptöm as we celebrate their 10th anniversary together with them.

You can’t host a Skryptöm label night without it’s founder, Electric Rescue. Antoine Husson has really become one of the leading figures of the French techno scene. With his own label he gathered a group of strong talent, both experienced and young DJs. For the past 20 years he has been stirring up clubs all over the globe with his both his DJ sets and also various live performances, including Möd3rn and his solo project. His uncompromising productions have been released on various imprints. It’s great to finally have him back in Berlin after a rather long period and there could not be a better reason than the anniversary of his own label.

Manu Le Malin is considered to be a pillar of hardcore music. But he is much more than that. Manu is above all an outstanding DJ who knows how to strike and seduce with his techno alter-ego, The Driver. This different repertoire keeps the crowd dancing with the same ardour and success. Every performance is proof of a never-ending strength, surprising and enchanting every generation. He has a charisma, an incredible technique, a universe and a soul like no other. We are very excited for his performance as this is his first time playing in Berlin with this project.

Kmyle represents the young new corners of Skryptöm. He is quite new on the techno surface but his productions have not only an unbelievable energy but also show an amazing understanding of the music itself. His live performances are something that sticks with you. We again are really excited for his live set as Kmyle is also going to play in Berlin for the very first time for this edition of Stützpunkt. You can definitely be enthusiastic about what this young Frenchman will have in store for us.

Last but not least our resident OP/H completes this nights lineup. His style is characterized by a mixture between the unorthodox and the popular, with a tendency to bring out the cheesy goods.
The Frenchman who is now based in Berlin is a great enrichment to Stützpunkt and we are glad to have him with us. For this night he will only bring his best vinyl, wear his best clothes and – as always – be on his best behavior. On ne change pas!

As always we are very much looking forward to this night. Be sure to join us at Arena Club for this special occasion and let’s be on fire together.

Press Info:
After some months of silence we are starting the new year right by hitting Arena Club again with a lineup as slick as always.

Kyle Geiger
Hailing from a region known for its basketball and corn, the emergence of an artist from Indiana such as Kyle Geiger is marked as seldom at best. He certainly is no stranger to the international techno arena, with releases on heavy hitter labels such as Drumcode, Droid or his own label Cubera.
Originally inspired by the harder, percussive stylings of techno, Kyle has witnessed the evolution of the genre as it morphed into a more accessible, groove based sound. Still loving the energy and power of the more straight forward side of techno while embracing the genre’s changes, Kyle has refined his productions and DJ sets into what very well may be a new breed of soundscapes that pushes things forward for the next generation of techno to come. We are very happy that he will be with us for his one.

Emmanuel
The releases of Berlin-based Emmanuel have left many people in awe. His unique production style has bewitched the heavyweights of contemporary techno and house, garnering full support across the scene. Releasing on labels including Deeply Rooted House or Enemy Records as well as his own label ARTS, Emmanuel has rapidly become a regular on the European techno circuit, with his uncompromising style that he is now synonymous with through his productions and performances alike. In his DJ sets he is able to combine many different aspects of techno music and put them together to create an astonishing mix. It makes us excited to anticipate what he has in store for us.

Chami
Always a major highlight at our parties, Chami has become quite the talk of the town. The strong and determined vinyl only sets of our Moroccan resident have become an illustration of the Stützpunkt series, purely creating an exceptional atmosphere. For this installment he will play his first closing set for us, as he gives us another reason to celebrate – it is his birthday weekend. Let us honor this special occasion by dancing until the very end of Chamis extravaganza.

Background Radiation
Our cherished duo Background Radiation will complete this nights lineup. This once again highly anticipated DJ set will feature the golden pieces of their vinyl selection and you can be sure that they will present the right spirit at the right time. If you have been following us for a while you know that they will definitely not disappoint.

We are excited for another big one with you and we hope you are as well. Don’t forget to bring the heat to make this cold January night a hot one!

Press Info:
We are back at Arena Club to celebrate our first Stützpunkt anniversary together with you. For this special occasion we put a lineup together whose diversity in musical style excites us very much and will most definitely make this night matchless.

Benjamin Damage
For this edition Benjamin Damage is playing a DJ set for us. The UK producer became a key part of Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons imprint back in 2010. It was a partnership which spanned half a decade, ending only alongside the closure of the label late last year. As the first artist (outside of Modeselektor) to release on the label it was apt that his album “Obsidian” was also the last one on 50 Weapons. His 2013 debut solo album “Heliosphere” featured “010x”, described by Marcel Dettmann as the ‘track of the summer’ and given the remix treatment from Robert Hood, Truncate and SCNTST.
His style is unique, as he mixes classic 4/4 with breakbeat rhythms while creating ravy lead synths which show influences from all over the musical spectrum.

Randomer
Coming over from North London is Randomer. In his six year career he has had releases on labels such as Hemlock, L.I.E.S and many more. As a producer and also as DJ he is capable of connecting techno with other electronic genres like bass. His idea of techno isn’t limited to classic 4/4 beats but also features a lot of breakbeat and other unorthodox elements. His track „Bring“ which was released back in 2013 has been played in clubs and festivals everywhere.
His peerless productions and DJ sets have given him the opportunity to tour all over the world and showcase his skills in front of small club audiences as well as huge festival crowds. We are very excited for what he will show us this time.

I/Y
Yacoub and Irakli, better known as I/Y will play one of their powerful DJ sets for us, taking you into a different musical direction and showcasing the diversity of techno music. They met in Berlin at the beginning of this millennium and have ever since shaped the techno scene – with their infamous „Staub“ party but also with releases on labels such as 47 or Fracture. With the curation of their eponymous creative platform, they have been releasing works from friends, similar minded artists, and aliens.
Their talent, production wise and on the turntables have enabled the boys to play at venues all over Europe. We are most excited about I/Y being with us on this night, in their home base Berlin.

Staím
For the closing our resident Staím will be back on the decks. He has been there ever since we started as „Stützpunkt Techno“ back in 2013. After dropping the „Techno“ and bringing the idea into the club his love and passion for the project hasn’t gotten any weaker.
He has developed his music taste early on and has found his style in direct and hard, percussion-driven techno – we call it „Brecher Techno“. Next to him performing DJ-Sets, Staím has also started producing his own tracks in 2015. He stayed true to his style which made him a valuable asset for many parties, as you can be sure of strong energy on the dancefloor when Staím starts to play.

Dial Tone
Completing the lineup is the Berlin duo dial tone. Caspar and Laurens have started making music together last year in 2015 when they saw their similar taste in techno music. One coming from the DJ-side and the other from the producing-side of this genre they learn from and complement each other perfectly. Caspar has previously played a house set solo at one of our Stützpunkt parties on the upstairs floor. You can see the influence of melodic and groovy house in their understanding of techno music which gives their sets its very own atmosphere. We are very happy to have them with us this time and are looking forward to what they have in store for all of us.

Be sure to join us for our first anniversary party. Thank you for your support this past year, may it go on for many more anniversaries to come. We are ready.
