TRS-O2 aka Torso was born in Balve/Westphalia on the country side, a mountain range landscape called Sauerland in in the state of Northrhine-Westphalia. Musically interested in different styles that touches him. He organized his first own event in 1993 in Menden a middle sized town with about 65.000 inhabitants where he used to go to high school as well.

He focused on breakbeat and jungle UK style heavily influenced through the London scene where he broke up a holiday and spent his complete budget in vinyl. In September 1998 he was asked by friends who run the quite new established bang! party in Oberhausen/Ruhr Area to run his own elcetronic floor on the roof top of that building. He agreed and was happy about his first residency. The party has ist 21 st anniversay in january 2018. The party is described as a multisexual event without any gender specifications – completely free to every open minded human. The electronic floor was called Hinrfick, what means brainfuck. The concept was slighlty changed by ist name but keeps the central tradition. Alongside Pete, Subjected, Mike Dehnert, Alex Bau, Claus Bachor and Edit Select just to name a few, the internatonal who is who in techno played here.

The party focusses beside the electronic floor on punk, alternative, americana, garage and dark wave, wave gothic influenced floors to be an option of a non commercial spot for open minded people who are bored by the money run boring commercial scene and was so responsible to be a teacher for a lot of people who start several other events in the area with also cool musically events like Genderterror in Mülheim, DIN-A-Queer in Münster and others. Later on he was also resident on the biggest gay party in Essen and the whole Ruhr Area where he played the closing set from 5 to 7 every month in 2004. He moved for work reasons to Berlin and started in january 2016 his own online shop for vinyl and recently has invented a crowdfunding to open up his physical record store close to Kottbusser Tor (https://www.startnext.com/my-own-store-location-subspace).

[Mix]: THNTS – NovaFuture Blog Mix October 2017

Just recently THNTS has discovered electronic music, before he was mostly interested in Hardcore, Black- and Doom-metal. A record collector and enthusiast he especially appreciated the created atmosphere. Soon he began to find the similarities in atmosphere and sound also in experimental kinds of techno. His DJ-sets resemble this development: sometimes driving, sometimes dreamy, but always telling a tale. After 1,5 years of involvement in the apathy crew he was a founding member of the new project ESCH which was born in the beginning of 2016.
