Press Info:
Berlin’s Ressort Imprint delivers more rough and uncompromising Techno this November, featuring four remixes from Blind Observatory, Cassegrain, Pfirter and Ekserd.

Since 2013, Ressort Imprint has seen productions from the likes of Francois X, Stranger, I/Y and Głós, a high quality output that’s earned it respect amongst the Techno community. Ressort’s founder, Ekserd, ensures that the eleventh release titled ‘More Cuts On Hurting’ lives up to the label’s reputation with four exceptional remixes.

The first remix comes in the form of MindTrip boss Pfirter’s hypnotic take on The Plant Worker’s ‘Spaceshift’. Heavy drum work with off-beat variation lays the foundation for an insanity inducing melody and haunting sonic environments. Ekserd then remixes The Plant Worker’s ‘Spaceship’ with an otherworldly arpeggio that fades into the background as a heavy duty synth line takes over during a percussive composition that fits the release perfectly.

Arcing Seas founders Cassegrain follows up with a high intensity interpretation as sustained bass tones create a dissonant pressure that’s underpinned by relentless rolling hi hats. Finally, Gravitational’s Blind Observatory’s take on Głós’ ‘Cut Tongues’ is enveloped in mysterious atmospheres, the track gradually introduces percussive rhythms and a low-end that allow it to erupt into a captivating close to the release.

The Plant Worker / Glos ‘More Cuts On Hurting’ drops on the Ressort Imprint on 17th November 2017.

Press Info:
Ekserd’s techno label Ressort Imprint returns for the second instalment of its two-part series ‘More Cuts On Loving’, this time inviting the likes of I/Y, Luis Flores, Denise Rabe, Glos and Array Access.

The Berlin-based platform was launched in 2013 and has since established a discography spanning Stranger, Gonzalo MD, The Plant Worker, Border One, Lee Holman and Strck. Dropping in 2016, Part One demonstrated the heavier end of techno whilst Part Two is angled towards a more abstract aesthetic.

German duo I/Y sets things into motion with ‘Memory Loss’, an atmospheric cut loaded with intricate nuances and echoing effects before Droid and Blank Code’s Luis Flores drops a low-end heavy number with sinister stabs and metallic synths named ‘Moral Divide’.

ARTS and MUTEWAX producer Denise Rabe’s ‘Return Of The Dash’ is next, a syncopated slice of techno possessing a medley of ominous elements before returning Ressort artist Glos serves up double-time kicks, dusky pads and otherworldly qualities.

Tying it all together, ‘Love Is Distraction’ by Array Access is a menacing cut with its sullen drones and subtle melodies.

2015 brought the trilogy of the dancer to Ressort. Now the label’s core artists each remix their tracks in circles. While all of them aim for the dancefloor, Ressort’s core artists could not sound more diverse. Ekserd and Border One aim for the raw, the groovy and the pure while Array Access and Głós lose themselves more and more in sound design and dreaminess.

Since the many aspects of art and music form a cycle of ying and yang, each artist shows the other an interpretation of what he might have missed before. Be it a complete stomper or a light-absorbing epos, a deep and groovy House and Techno hybrid or a journey into the depths of space: Every artist made one of the well-known tracks released on previous EPs his own. It’s a very colorful package that bares every moment the label tried to cover in its series before.
